"Four Voices" at Centennial Art Center

Artist reception on Friday, April 12 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m

Nashville, TN – Centennial Art Center’s latest exhibit Four Voices heralds in spring with the fresh style and unique perspectives of four Nashville-based female artists. Keavy Murphree and Rebecca Blevins will both showcase streamlined ceramic sculptures and Lakesha Moore and Georganna Greene will display expressive paintings, but those similarities are simply a starting point for each unique voice. Four Voices opens with an artist reception on Friday, April 12 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., where gallery visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists. The exhibit will remain on display through May 30, 2019.

Wrist Cloud Warm (Solo)

Solo exhibit featuring new paintings by Georganna Greene.

April 5 - May 5 2019

At the Red Arrow Gallery

From my show statement:

Together, these paintings document my progress over the last year, oscillating between studio projects and plein air practice. Experiences outside in protected parks, near bodies of water, beaches, and mountains inspire my current work. Driftwood, redwoods and oak trees find their way into my abstract language as vehicles which visually lead the eye around the space created on the canvas.

Moving from Adagio, my last solo show at Red Arrow Gallery (2018), this body of work continues to investigate physical sensation, movement, and tempo all connecting people to the wild. Drawing from my childhood as a ballet dancer and pianist, I recall a relationship between this familiar, ever-present tempo and the rhythmic process of making art. My paintings celebrate and link a sustainable, flourishing earth to a sustainable, flourishing self.
